ABOUT

Robotics is something everyone wants to do nowadays, and why not? The idea of a walking and talking machine that can do your work for you is awesome. However, learning robotics is no fun and of no use without actually understanding every single component and concept that makes a robot.

This is a beginners program. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Lunch and all workshop material on us!

Come with an open mind, and leave with some great learning and an experience of a lifetime!

About this camp

Get your fundamentals right with this beginner robotics camp. Learn about circuits, switches and motors. Learn how to create your own end-effector mechanisms. Design and build sport-playing robots. Watch them perform.

What happens in this camp?

Starting from scratch, build a robot that can play football, basketball, tennis, and run a relay race. Hold an Olympics parade and watch your robots perform!

Why should I take up this camp?

This camp takes you back the very basics of what makes a robot: building its body, building its circuitry, modifying it for specific use and understanding how it all fundamentally works.

Camp Learning Outcomes

● Basic dynamics of making a robot

● Manual robotics: Components & their working principles

● Manual robotics: Building Rovers, basic circuitry, operation using DPDT switches

● Engineering: concepts related to relative motion between robot components

● Engineering: conceptualizing and building drive mechanisms based on application

Skill Outcomes:

  • Critical Thinking: How can I use mechanical and electrical parts in order to design and build a robot that can move in the way I want it to?

  • Problem Solving: Am I being able to troubleshoot and solve all the problems that arise while I am making my robot?

  • Collaboration: It takes great team work to envision, design and build a robot that can play sports
